Eyes like charcoal, so heavy and thick
Hair like wool, so dark, tuff and slick.
Mocked, beaten and then crucified to the cross
not realizing, heaven's gain, but the world's biggest loss.
Such ashame how Mary's baby suffered so much,
just in desperate need of a mother's gentle touch.
The hurtful, horrible, hell of being betray and denied,
and all his loving mother could do was cry.
I can hear him say in a voice so very low,
Father why me, why do I have to go?
Must (Jesus) I bear the cross alone, and all the world go free,
I need you to be my footprints Lord, and also carry me.
But before I leave, I have to stay
and have supper with the apostles, then pray.
I don't want them to weep when I am gone,
they know I'll be back, I won't leave for long.
Last but not least, I hope they stay true
and know that thru the Word, their lives will always
be enriched and new.
